After a few years your Intercomm may start to experience intermitant failure or may be completely dead.
There are a few key things that can cause this.
- Bad power supplies - usually burnt out from over or undervoltage
- Bad wiring - not using water proof cabling when laying cabling outdoors
- A Completely dead unit - by using vendors with a decent warranty this is less of an issue
- Door release not working - usually caused by a failing strike - usually the cheaper varieties
